Final Weigh In Tonight!!

Tonight is the final weigh in and measurements in the weight loss challenge.

The money up for grabs is as follows:
1st Place- $400
2nd Place- $240
3rd Place- $160
Most Inches Lost- $100+

The top three is based on percentage of weight loss from the very first weigh in to the very last weigh in which is tonight. I have lost about 11% of my body weight.

Although tonight is the final weigh in, the winners (or biggest losers) are not announced until next Wednesday at our after party. I didn’t start this program to win money. I started it to help motivate me to stay on track. Now that we are at the end of the 12 week program, I am so proud to be in the running to win some money. I can’t wait to find out the results next week!

This week I have worked out harder than ever! I started Zumba Toning which utilizes slower movements and light weights to tone all the muscles of your body. I really enjoy Zumba Toning so much better than the regular Zumba Fitness which is more of just a cardio class. My buns and thighs are sooo sore today.
I have come to enjoy working out and love the feeling of being fit.

Although the weight loss challenge is over, I still have about 15 pounds left to lose. I know these last 15 are going to come off A LOT slower than the first 20. My goal for the last 15 is by the end of this year. We will see what happens!

I am just soooo happy at what I have accomplished and there are so many people to thank, as I couldn’t have done this with the support of my friends, family, and outside resources.

First and Foremost, My MOM, if you wouldn’t have taken on the challenge with me, I don’t think I could have stayed on track. You are my eating buddy and my workout buddy. I am so proud of your accomplishment and looking forward to continuing this journey with you.

My Husband, Anthony, Thank you for your support and understanding in my lifestyle change. I know it has sometimes been difficult to deal with my contant working out and the change of my diet has increased the grocery expenses in our household. I could not have gotten this far without your help and support. Even though you would try to tempt me sometimes with desserts. But Remember, this is a lifestyle change so we will not be going back to the way things used to be.

My workout buddy and biggest Cheerleader Lindsey, Thank you for your constant support and inspiration.

John and Carol Winslow- My weight loss coaches and the organizers of the Weight loss Challenge. I would not have been able to continue on a steady path of weight loss without you two. Thank you for organizing this challenge out of the kindness of your heart, being there for us, and teaching us valuable information to stay healthy for the rest of our lives. I have looked forward to my weekly weigh ins as it has given me the motivation to stay on track from week to week.

Party Fitness Studio- Discovering Zumba has been a life changing experience as it is the first time in my life were I look forward to going and working out. I have so much fun going to all of the classes and I get such a great work out.

Last, but not least, I cannot thank Billie Sangster enough. If it weren’t for you taking over the Miss El Cajon Scholarship Pageant, I would not have had the time to committ to this change. I am so proud of the organization and all you have already done for the ladies in just a short few months. You have been able to do so much more for them then I would have been and I think the City of El Cajon and the Miss El Cajon Scholarship association is so lucky to have you as their director.

This is just the beginning! Thank you all for your support.

Sincerely,
Andrea Breise

The Final Stretch…….Well sort of

Tonight is the second to last weigh in for the weight loss challenge. My last two weigh ins have totaled almost 7 pounds lost. Now I think I am at a stand still for this week. According to my scale I am definitely the same if not higher than what I weighed in last week.
I am not too concerned about it as I know I am still doing everything right and some weeks are just better than others. The only thing I am a little bummed about is that I am so close to finishing in the top 3 and winning some money, and having a stand still week is not what I wanted at this time in the game.
For those of you who know me know that I am very competitive. Give me a competition and I will push my way to the top. In this competition, I know I have done everything I can and now it is not really up to me.
Tonight is also final picture day. We took a “before” picture 10 weeks ago and tonight we take our “after” picture. They are going to photo stitch the pictures side by side. I can’t wait to see the transformation in a picture. I will definitely post it on FB for everyone to see.
This week I threw out my lower back on Monday. I was using my new jogging stroller for the first time. Alyssa and I went for a nice jog and when I got back home I could feel that something was off in my back. I had to skip out on my regular Zumba class on Tuesday. I am going to a chiropractor today, so hopefully I can get better fast. With only one more week left, I really need to be able to stay active.

All in All, I couldn’t be more happy and proud of myself and my mom. I am 20 pounds down. I have about 10-15 more pounds to go. I am fitting in clothes that I pretty much gave up on ever being able to fit in again. I love when people notice my accomplishment and make comments about how “skinny” I am.
I plan to continue with the weight loss challenge for the next session which starts in September. I really would love if some friends or famiy would join the next session with me. It really is a great group and has taught me so much about all aspects of changing my lifestyle and become a happier and healthier person.

I am also doing the Del Mar Mud Run in October and have started a team. Check out the website at http://delmarmudrun.com/ It is a 5K and is going to be LOTS of fun! Anyone is welcome to join my team. My team name is "Lets Get Dirrty" make sure you go and sign up soon!

Thank you all for your support.

8 weeks and still going strong

Last week was kind of a bummer, after consistently losing 1-3 pounds every week for the last 7 weeks, I weighed in last Wednesday almost a pound heavier than the week before. I was really discouraged as I didn’t do anything different. I was right on track with my eating and also exercising a lot. I know it probably wasn’t anything I did, but it still hurts when you are working so hard.

All and all I am really doing great! I am feeling great and I can see a huge difference in my clothes and when I look in the mirror or at recent pictures of myself.

Our next weigh in is tomorrow and last time we had a weigh in right after a holiday weekend, I was the biggest loser for that week. This holiday weekend was a tough one. Four days off of work, together with my birthday and fourth of July all rolled up in one really made it hard to stay focused on my ultimate goal. Tony also surprised me with a 2 night stay at the Hyatt down by San Diego bay, which meant eating out a lot and not having the same routine as I usually do. I tried my best to stay active we walked along the bay and seaport village the first night and then yesterday morning took a bike ride around downtown San Diego. I also tried my best at eating light and healthy.
When I weighed in at home this morning I was way down on my scale :) I am excited for our weigh in tomorrow and who knows maybe I will be the biggest loser again. It seems the rest of the group doesn’t do so well when it comes to holidays.

After my weigh in tomorrow I will have 4 weeks left until the final weigh in. I think I might even sign up for their next 12 week program when this one is over, to help me continue to stay on track until I reach my ultimate goal.

If any of my friends or family are struggling to stay motivated and really need to lose those extra pounds. This challenge is something that I highly recommend. Email or message me for more details if you are interested. We can do it together!

Thank you for all of your support!!
